. Concert-oh.com is a social networking service that allows members ("Members") to communicate and engage in enhanced conferencing activities with others. The service is operated by Chorus Call, Inc. ("Chorus Call").
Privacy is important to us, and Chorus Call and our Site (as defined below) respect the privacy needs and concerns of Site users and Members. This Policy explains how we handle any personal information, such as your name, address, email address or phone number ("Personal Information") that you provide to us. You can visit or browse certain parts of concert-oh.com without registering but you will not have access to all parts of our Site and you will not be able to fully participate in the services of the Site unless you register as a Member and provide all the information that registration requires.
- ELIGIBILITY TO USE OUR SITE
Our Site is not intended or designed to attract users under the age of 18. We do not collect Personal Information from any person we know to be under the age of 18. If you are under 18, we ask that you not send us any Personal Information. Parents and guardians are asked to instruct their children under age 18 not to provide any personal information to our Site. In the event that we learn that such information has been sent to our Site, we will not create a profile or otherwise retain the child’s information.
- INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE BY OUR SITE
Our Site will only collect Personal Information which you knowingly and voluntarily provide such as name, email address, and age to authenticate Members and to send notifications to our Members relating to the Service and as otherwise indicated herein. Our Site also collects other profile data including, but not limited to preferences, favorites, phone numbers in order to assist Members in finding and communicating with each other and in order to customize offers and target communications to our members.
"Concert-Oh Screen Names" are the profiles of our Members and include Members' screen names. A Member’s screen name and web cam transmission are displayed to other Members in order to facilitate Member interaction on our Site. It is our policy not to disclose members’ full names and email addresses to other members. Members communicate with other Members through the Service without needing to disclose email addresses.
Our Site also logs non-specific information including IP address, profile information, aggregate user data (which will not contain any personal information as it relates to a single visitor), and browser type, from users and visitors to our Site. This data is used to manage our Site, track usage and improve the Services. This non-specific information may be shared with third-parties to provide more relevant Services and advertisements to Members.
From time to time, our Site or a third party may sponsor a promotion, sweepstake or contest on our Site. Members may be asked to provide certain Personal Information in order to participate. We may transfer Personal Information to certain advertising partners from which you have explicitly requested to receive information. You will be notified at the time your Personal Information is requested and collected as to which entity is collecting the personal information and whose privacy statement will apply. We may also share your information with our business or merger partners or with creditors.
NOTICE TO CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS: Under California Law, California residents have the right to request in writing from businesses with whom they have an established business relationship: (1) a list of the categories of information, such as name, address, e-mail address, and the type of services provided to the customer, that a business has disclosed to third parties (including affiliates that are separate legal entities) during the immediately preceding calendar year for the third parties' direct marketing purposes, and (2) the names and addresses of all such third parties. Please use common sense when using our Site, and remember that what you post publicly could embarrass you or expose you to danger. Here are a few guidelines that you should follow when using our Site:
(i) Many parts of the Site are public spaces so don't post anything you wouldn't want the world to know (e.g., your phone number, address, IM screen name, or specific whereabouts). Avoid posting anything that would make it easy for a stranger to find you.
(ii) Cyber-bullying, cyber-stalking, hate speech and other inappropriate content should be reported. If you feel someone's behavior is inappropriate, report it to our Site or, if appropriate, the authorities.
(iii) Don't mislead people (such as indicating that you're older or younger). If you are under 18 and pretend to be older, customer service (upon becoming aware of such matter) will delete your profile.
(iv) Be careful of phishing scams (i.e. phishing is a method used to try to fraudulently get your personal information, such as your username and password, by pretending to be a site you trust).
You agree that neither Chorus Call nor our Site shall be responsible or liable, either directly or indirectly, for anything transmitted or posted or any result of your transmissions or postings. In the event you decide to reveal information about yourself or others that may expose you to danger or any harm you do so at your own risk. PLEASE THINK BEFORE YOU TRANSMIT OR POST. BE CAREFUL.
- INFORMATION SHARING
Unfortunately, Internet use is not 100% secure. The Site will take reasonable measures which it believes are appropriate to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, alteration or destruction, however, the Site cannot insure or warrant the security of that information.
Our Site takes precautions to help insure that member account information is kept private. We use reasonable measures to protect Member information that is stored within our database, and it is our policy to restrict access to Member information to those employees and agents who need access to perform their job functions, such as our customer service personnel and technical staff. Member accounts on our Site are also secured by Member-created passwords.
Our Site may provide links to other websites or resources. These links are for your convenience only and are not under our control. We do not control the privacy practices or other activities of these websites or resources. In the event you decide to access or use any of these other websites or resources, you agree you do so at your own risk. You acknowledge and agree that neither Chorus Call nor our Site is responsible for the availability of such external websites or resources, and neither Chorus Call nor our Site endorses any such website, its use or contents and is not responsible or liable for any content, advertising, products, or other materials on or available from such websites or resources. You agree that neither Chorus Call nor our Site shall be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage, viruses or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with your use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on such external websites or resources.
- PREFERENCES; OPT-OUT; UPDATING AND REMOVING INFORMATION
During the Member registration process on our Site, you may be asked to indicate your willingness to allow us to communicate with you on an on-going basis, share personal information collected online with third parties that are not related to our Site, and/or receive updates or notifications regarding the Service. We will honor your preferences. At any time, however, you may (a) stop the receipt of a particular promotional or notification email by clicking on an "unsubscribe" hyperlink contained in any promotional or notification emails we send you and (a) change your marketing preferences, (b) remove yourself from our mailing list, or (c) opt out of further disclosures of your personal information to third parties or by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org. It may take up to four (4) weeks to modify your preferences.
Members may also modify their preferences and modify/edit/delete their Personal Information by logging in to the Member account page. However, a minimum amount of Personal Information is necessary for us to provide certain Services.
